Metro Plastics Technologies’ core business is custom injection molding. Being that we are injection molders, we are experts in tool design and quality with the intent to make molds last long as possible for a production scenario. We also understand prototype injection molds are necessary in most applications to prove a design before building a multiple cavity production mold. With that being said, the prototype mold must produce exactly what your production intent should be with no limitation in order to prove your design completely.

Metro Plastics utilizes numerous global tooling sources to obtain the highest quality molds at the most cost competitive prices. When building a mold with Metro Plastics, you are using our expertise to manage the project and utilizing our own tooling sources. Our tool sources also have the capability to run samples/parts from these molds allowing us to order parts off the new mold without ever seeing the mold in our own shop unless other circumstances persist. This saves transportation costs of the mold itself.

Design verification is the number reason for a prototype injection mold. Many other rapid injection molding sources have limitation to there own capability. By utilizing our multiple sources, Metro virtually has no limitations as long as it is injection moldable in the first place.

Many times, other sources have limitations on geometry including undercuts, sharp corners, deep ribs, complex logos, size limitations on core pulls, material choices, and part size. We offer them all in order to fit your own requirements in order to prove your design.
